The Club usually sets a windward/leeward course or a triangle course (see diagrams below). The course is frequently run multiple times (typically twice). Course length is dependent upon wind strength and whether we are using spinnakers.
One of the Etobicoke Yacht Club (EYC) race buoys may be used as part of the starting line, or more than one of these buoys may be used if setting a longer course.
Note: For both the Windward / Leeward and Triangle course, during intermediate laps, either downwind bouy (typically the two buoys also forming the start/finish line) can be rounded to port. The Committee Boat should not instruct otherwise however should it do so, no penalties will be incurred if these instructions are followed.
